While you may be feeling uncertain about your future and how to parent, these programs can give you the fundamental skills you need to feel confident about your ability to parent. Whether you have a lot of experience with children or none at all, these classes are for you!

Plus, with each completed program, you can earn “baby bucks,” which are redeemable for items in our maternity and baby boutique. This free store offers clothing, furniture, and essential baby items to help you prepare for your pregnancy and your baby’s birth. 

Free Pregnancy Support Programs

Mentor/Mentee Program

This program helps you learn what to expect during pregnancy and beyond. You’ll be paired with a mentor and given the opportunity to discuss prenatal care, basic parenting skills, responsibility, and other topics. You also have the option of bringing your partner or other support system to these appointments.

Pregnancy Courses

These educational classes will prepare you for pregnancy and newborn care. You’ll learn more about topics such as: 

  • Prenatal development
  • Prenatal  care, nutrition, and your developing baby
  • What’s safe and unsafe during pregnancy
  • Your changing body
  • Preparing for the baby
  • Labor and delivery
  • Bringing baby home
  • Breastfeeding
  • Baby blues (postpartum depression)
  • Newborn care

Baby Care Course

This course covers the essentials of baby care and helps you learn what to expect from your newborn, with topics such as:

  • Understanding your baby’s cry
  • Pediatric emergencies
  • Routine illnesses
  • Infant and toddler emergency first aid
  • Surviving infancy
  • First-year milestones
  • Baby sign language

Parenting Course

This class will teach you foundational parenting strategies, such as:

  • Disciplining your child
  • Healthy boundaries
  • Love and logic
